The Problem

State Highway 1, a critical artery for New Zealand’s transport network, often requires extensive earthworks and vegetation management to maintain safety and functionality. For this project, exposed embankments and verges posed significant challenges, including soil erosion, sediment runoff, and dust generation. These issues threatened construction timelines, environmental regulations, and the surrounding ecosystems, necessitating a fast and reliable revegetation solution to stabilise the site.

Our Solution

Enviro360 deployed advanced hydroseeding to address the site’s challenges efficiently. Using a custom slurry of certified seed mixes, mulch, and fertilisers tailored to the local climate and soil conditions, we achieved rapid germination and uniform grass coverage across the SH1 project area. This approach stabilised the soil to prevent erosion and minimised sediment runoff into nearby waterways.
